The Hyundai Staria: August car of the month

Sci-Fi meets real life: Hyundai’s bold be

The Hyundai Staria is a sci-fi lover’s dream. With a design that looks like it was taken straight out of Robocop, it’s one of the most unique vehicles on the road.

But this bold and futuristic design didn’t appear out of nowhere. It’s a product of Hyundai’s decade of experimenting with bold vehicle designs and technology. So in a sense, we could say the Staria has been decades in the making. Which is why it easily earned Tarlen’s Car of the Month for August.

Behind the wheel of Marvin’s Hyundai Staria

We’ve been behind the wheel of some vehicles that are all looks and no substance but fortunately the Hyundai Staria is not one of them.

This people carrier was built with group travelers in mind: acres of legroom, generous luggage space, USB ports at all 3 rows, and 16 cup holders. Comfort comes naturally with beautiful leather upholstery and an anti-pinch sliding door you can control from the driver’s cockpit or the keyfob.

And the traditionalist doesn’t need to sweat it, the manual door handle still works if you prefer it.

The last 2 rows of seats are built on rails. This allows you to slide the seats forward or backwards depending on the passenger’s needs or depending on how much cargo space you need. But you won’t need that extra space, it already has an impressive cargo space.

The last 2 rows of seats sit on rails, letting you slide them forward or back depending on passenger or cargo needs. Not that you’ll need to compromise much, the Staria already offers an impressive cargo bay.

The driving experience

In tight city streets, the Staria’s size might be challenging. But on the open road, it’s a buttery smooth drive experience that’ll keep your passengers relaxed and comfortable through the ride.

There’s nothing boring about this van. Family holidays or wine tours become part of the fun. If you’re after a minivan that combines refinement with comfort, the Staria is worth a test drive.
